You play as Ezio Auditore da Firenze, the ancestor of Desmond Miles. The game features Italian cities of Florence and Venice mainly and also Tuscany and Forli. The game also allowed multiplayer to the franchise and is historically set during the 15th and early 16th century Italy. The game introduced the players to new characters. Assassin’s Creed II came out in 2009, two years after the first game and is seen as a huge improvement on the first installment.
